As part of PRBA’s continuing work on developing a new TRANSCAER program on lithium ion batteries, PRBA will host a workshop on Lithium ion Battery Emergency Response and Safety during CHEMTREC’s International Hazmat Summit. The Summit will be held in New Orleans September 12 – 14, 2022 with the workshop scheduled for the afternoon of September 13th. The U.S. Department of Transportation, FM Global, Underwriters Laboratories, Lockheed Martin, Energy Safety Response Group, Energy Storage Safety Products, and KBI/Heritage Group will be presenting during the workshop.
TRANSCAER® (Transportation Community Awareness Emergency Response) is a national outreach program that originally was established in 1986. The organization focuses on assisting communities to prepare for and respond to a possible hazardous material transportation incident. The TRANSCAER program is led by industry professionals who volunteer their time to support our mission.
